TSA announces the implementation of a Leaderboard for members, with annual awards. These are to commence for the 2022 calendar year and will be annual awards.
The Leaderboard will commence with categories for Dressage, Eventing, Showjumping and Driving. Categories may be added to, please feel free to contact us with your suggestions.
The rules of the leaderboard are:
- The leaderboard scores are accrued by an approved horse/pony and rider combination.
- The combination must comprise:
- a rider who is a TA breeder or owner-rider member (or junior member of these categories); and
- a horse or pony registered with the TSA/TA Inc or the TV.
- Entry to the Leaderboard is free for eligible combinations.
- The Leaderboard award runs for points accrued at events in the calendar year 1 January to 31 December.
- Eligible disciplines are:
- Dressage
- Eventing
- Showjumping
- Eligible events are:
- EA official Dressage, showjumping and eventing
- EA unofficial dressage showjumping and eventing
- HRCAV or Pony Club official and unofficial Dressage, showjumping and eventing (to qualify as eventiing, the competition must have all 3 components of dressage, jumping and ross county). For Dressage, tests with only walk-trot elements do not qualify for leaderboard points.
- The leaderboard points are differently weighted for Official EA compared with HRCAV or Pony Club events (see table below)
- Results must be submitted within 60 days of events from January to November and for December events, no later than 31 January.
- Only the highest placing score achieved on one competition day is counted.

- Freshman jumping is not eligible for points.
- The rider of the combination is responsible for correct recording and submissions of all information.
- Leaderboard entries are to be made via the TSA Website, using the Leaderboard results entry form and will be considered by the Leaderboard subcommittee and entered on the Leaderboard when approved by the subcommittee. A subcommittee member must not enter their own results or those of a horse owned or bred by them into the leaderboard. The subcommittee reports enry and results to the TSA committee at each meeting. If the subcommittee has any doubt as to the validity of an entry, that entry will be listed at next committee meeting for decision. TSA Committee make all decisions as to the eligibility of claimed points for inclusion in the Leaderboard, and that decision is final.
- Scores for Leaderboard for 2025 are accrued as follows for Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing. Please note that the leaderboard sutructure and scoring may change change in furture years.
